Mama Llama Lactation offers private lactation consultations in Peel, Dufferin County, Halton, Hamilton, Toronto and surrounding areas.

OHIP subsidized appointments may be available for virtual or in person consultations with a referral from a client's health care provider.

Refferal Form

Lactation Consults

Lactation support will be provided through the Ontario Breastfeeding Clinic IBCLCs in partnership with the Ontario Breastfeeding Clinic Physicians Group.

Following each initial appointment, a report will be faxed to the referring provider with assessments, findings and initial recommendations.

Follow up visits are encouraged until breastfeeding issues are resolved and are booked at the discretion of the client and IBCLC/paediatrician team.

Common questions about OHIP funded support. Answered.

Question: Will I be sent a report after the consultation? Answer: Yes, a detailed report will be sent to you after an OHIP subsidized consultation that includes assessment, findings and initial recommendations.

Question: My patient wants to bottle feed their baby but the baby is refusing a bottle. Can you help? Answer: Yes. I support breastfeeding and bottlefeeding families and have experience working with families in similar situations.

Question: After a referral is sent, how is the patient booked in? Answer: Please notify your patient that booking notifications will be sent via their email. An intake form will be sent to them and must be filled out in order to book an appointment.
